This piece consist of 8 metal plates in different size and thickness. They are mounted with transducer devices which makes the plates vibrate.
The idea is that instead of using normal speakers with a more or less linear frequency response, the use of metal plates, which are in a way really bad speakers, result in very beautiful with complex microtonal drones. You just have to find the right frequencies for each plate...
You can listen to an recorded excerpt under "Excerpts". However it is ofcourse a completely different experience to hear the plates themselves instead of a recording played back... on normal speakers with a more or less linear frequency response:-)
